Starting up The Pipeline Project has been loads of fun, challenging and very rewarding.
Getting off the ground as the UK was in the deepest recession since records began was the first challenge.
We were both lucky and delighted that a handful of ‘pioneers’ helped us to get going – backing us as their partners on a set of pretty diverse, but important missions. All of which, we’re pleased to say we’re still deeply involved in.
Numbers-wise, we’ve worked alongside 12 different businesses on 22 different missions, big and small.
A lot of our work happens behind the scenes. We don’t like shouting before we’ve had a real impact so we don’t do big press releases or long, post-rationalised case studies.
Instead we’re getting the people who’ve backed us from the start to talk about what we do, in their own words. Watch this space for some short films.
In the meantime, to give a taste of the kind of stuff we do, here’s a few of the missions we’ve been on…
Helping an energy business learn and act on what people across the UK are looking for in relation to saving and generating energy in their homes and businesses.
Partnering with a student insurance brand in the UK to re-establish their purpose and rebuild their commitment to their different stakeholders starting with their own people.
Helping a global apparel brand team together to build a more coherent and purposeful approach for their brand and how they manage it.
Working alongside a sustainable development business that’s changing focus to establish a new purpose and express itself in a more compelling way on the web.
And then there’s our Good for Nothing work. More recently, we’ve been helping Bethnal Green Ventures from the team behind the Social Innovation Camp – do Good for Nothing ‘drop-in’ clinics, where we’ve been providing advice and ideas where we can for fledgling social ventures to get off the ground.
